(no subject)
so, "birdie" is a no go.
i got typed out... for those who don't know, that means that when i got into the waiting room, they lined us up 5 or 6 at a time, looked at us, and gave us audition numbers if they wanted to hear us sing based on our look. apparently i just look wrong for the show, which is okay. don't want to waste anyone's time if i'm not what they're looking for physically.
still, i guess i'd be more okay with it if i could tell what they were looking for based on who they asked to stay.
i think i must just look too old, though... i went to a pub right afterward to grab a guiness before i went home, and didn't even get carded. hahah. oh, manhattan.
still worth it, though. i got to see kara and john, which was excellent. "slumdog millionaire" was playing at a regal cinema for some reason, even though it came out in like december, and it was EXCELLENT. yay for that.
oh, and i went to the natural history museum by myself, which was great. i never realized how liberating it is to do something like that alone. you can spend as much time as you want looking at an exhibit, and skip the next ten if they don't interest you... i would have spent the entire day there if kara hadn't called me. man oh man. i am such a nerd.
so yeah, broadway isn't calling me right now, but it's whatever. i have an interview on wednesday with the walnut street theatre, and i want that job more than anything else i'm applying for. hope i didnt just jinx it, hahah. wish me luck, because i actually have a chance at that one, hahah!
