Devil Driver
Went and moshed brutally to DevilDriver the other night and added more bruises to my Downlaod Fest bruises..seriously looked like a leopard though they tend to fade just as easily as they appear..sheesh..had some scary ones.
Also on were Panic Cell and a lady fronted band whose name I forgot..she was a bad ass!
They were originally booked (or so I thought ) for the Little Civic which we couldn't believe as it's quite teeny and is on an upper floor ..with windows!! Yikes..that would have been dangerous.
Anyway, The Civic have now refurbished the back room and bands can storm in there now.
It happened to be a great venue..sound bounced around the walls nicely..and so did we later..hehehe.
The circle pit brimmed it!!..I love Wolvo crowd!!!
I didn't even bang my head that hard all download weekend..hehe..think I was in the frame of mind that I was still a free rocker and wouldn't have the chance to go full throttle again for a while.
Des said he wanted to see loads of bodies surfing and indeed he did...wooharr..the security were fab cushions!! hehehe..on my crowd surf I turned face down and got a long fingernail in my eye..nearly had my eyeball scooped out and stomped on.
Dave also had a photo pass and managed to get some pics from the start of the set and was hoping to get two he'd taken at Donnington signed. DD's manager said he was keeping both prints for himself and Dave's face was all sad but then he told us to hang around and shunted us out the back door by the tourbus.
Then Des and the other geezer..(umm.think he's guitar..) came out and we had our pic taken with him.
Daves face = happy.
My body = battered
