The Last Freedom
We who lived in concentration camps can remember
the men who walked through the huts comforting
others, giving away their last piece of bread.
They may have been few in number, but they offer
sufficient proof that everything can be taken from
a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms
-- to choose one's attitude in any given set of
circumstances, to choose one's own way.
~ Viktor Frankl ~
Credits to Pei Yi for this.
I cannot choose my feelings, sometimes I cannot shift the circumstances.
But I can choose,
To smile, to cry,
To get up again or to stay down.
It's a decision I can make.
It belongs to me.
On another note, CAT midterm is in 40 mins.
I am beyond unprepared.
But i guess that's one bad choice on my part.
