this is what it sounds like when doves cry.
so... it looks as though i'm going to be stuck in my apartment for the month of july as well. not because i don't have anywhere to go, because although i don't yet have a new apartment, all of my friends have graciously offered their various couches just so that i can get out of here, but because of my roommate being a dickass. i left a note for him the other day, asking when and how i could get my security deposit back, and when i got home friday night there was a note on my door that said essentially that he no longer had the money, but that i was welcome to stay here for the month of july for free.

so the only way i can get my security deposit back without going to court (which, let's face it, i just don't feel like doing again) is to stay for july.
although not ideal, because i will be living with ted bundy 2 for another month (plus the stranger, who is still here btw) it's not all bad. it does give me an opportunity to save more money so that i can really move in august, and actually afford it. i was kind of forcing it for july, and although i could have afforded it, it would have been really, really close. plus i'm going to be away for ten days, so that's ten days of not making money to pay august rent if i had a new place for july.
this sucks.
what else sucks is that a woman waiting to take the fung wah bus to boston this morning DIED. people were getting on the bus, and this woman was about to, when a truck coming off the manhattan bridge rear-ended it and pushed the bus into this woman, and then into a bank. and i complain about getting stuck on the side of the highway for two hours.
