Old Car New Car
So ok, I'm selling my old car...because I just got a new car. YAY! I had hoped to meet the goal of purchasing my first new car by the time I was 30. With 6 months to go until 31, I met my goal. Woo hoo! Next "milestone," buying a house before 40!
Anyhow, I got this new car (and interestingly enough, my husband got a new one as well). It's a 2006 Kia Spectra (Meca got a Rio). It's colour is officially Dark Bronze, but if you ask me, it looks more like Charcoal. I really like the colour. I've never owned a compact before, nor have I ever owned a foreign car...probably because my dad wouldn't let me park in his driveway if I had. Sorry, but where I typically purchase my cars, although I'm incredibly loyal and they've helped me out so many times over the years, I don't think they could beat the warranty Kia gave me, nor could they get me financed since my credit report and what appears to be my employment history (READ: Self-Employed...banks hate that) isn't the most desirable for lenders. Plus, roadside assistance is included. Fixing tires...included. Yeah, it was just hard to say no to.
Now, what to do with my old car...well, try to sell it. Honestly, the car is still in good shape. It runs, I just put new brakes on, the tires are relatively new, and I have a happy new stereo in it thanks to my brother getting me a new one for winter holiday a year or so ago. If anyone knows someone looking for a car, I have a PDF with all the information.
I'm so glad now that I got a new job, because now I can afford the car...well...kinda. I have to give up a lot of "luxuries" like eating at Yoko more than once a month, cutting my Netflix down to a much smaller plan, killing my Rent Anime account (which means no more hentai), and pretty much any spending money for little things like before. Not too much fluff...just enough to keep me happy. Hopefully winter holiday will give me a few new DVDs and Guitar Hero or something so I'll be happy. Actually, since I was silly and recently purchased HoiHoi-san, I should be asking for a PS2 mod kit so I can actually play it. I was told to get Swap Magic and if I didn't want to yank my CD tray out, I could get a flip top cover, or get the combo pack, which includes Swap Magic and flip top cover. I had to update my wish list since family started asking what I wanted. It's actually my personal my wish list that I keep for myself, but it's just easier to send people there because I keep links to certain things so I can find them again.
Blah, anyhow...Trae = broke...so when she's all like...no, I can't go to the movies or the club or whatever...it's because I really probably don't have the funds. But I have a NEW car!
