[ ok, Sora's finally given up on smashing a wall because his hands are in lots of pain and his hits are making less impact, which is now a total of 0.0001 [unit] of force. On the wallpaper

You do understand that this is incredibly shaky evidence to go on, considering that so many haven't replied to our requests for votes, correct? Sacrificing an innocent is not at all how I had intended to go about this. I would expect to see at least one killing vote to your name before I would believe your guilt. After all, the presence of B does not imply A.
Well... perhaps there would be a way to test your innocence without anyone dying-
[ Pascal shakes his head and then sits down and begins to wash his paws, speaking all the while, if occasionally interrupted by licks ]
But if it failed, the consequences... I could not even predict them. Vote for yourself this round. If there is only one death, then I will accept your admission of guilt, but to kill someone without enough evidence would leave a terrible taste in my mouth.
[ wait, wait, but what if the traitor votes with the majority? ]
[ ughh ]
[ Sora... Sora needs time to think about this. And also, people to think about this for him some more because he's not very good at this smart thing. ]
I'll... yeah, I probably will just vote for myself again.
Good. By voting for yourself, you hurt nobody, and you give us time to ascertain your guilt. To sacrifice someone and have it turn out that the traitor was another...
[ Pascal sort of paces a bit, and most unhappily ]
[ he needs to run off and find someone to scratch just behind his ears ]
But whoever died... really would die... I hate this house...
[ squats down; his legs are toothpicky and probably not comfortable because his shoes are so fucking tall; would you like to be pet instead? He has nice, big hands ]
Yes... but do consider. No matter what, someone will be dying. It is better someone with a moral center be assigned this than someone who will use it indiscriminately, assuming that you are our traitor. You have as much control over this as you do over being born.
[ he dips his head to shove it into Sora's hand and rub back and forth. here, have a pushy cat, kid :| ]
[ the probabilities he'd run on this child had been low... existent, but low... ]

You do know that this is only guilt in the most abstract sense. It's simply a role that's been assigned, if more deadly than most.
