[ Sheppard lurks in the shadows watching you a minute or so, then deciding you seem safe enough carefully makes his way into the room. ]

I'm not sure fascinating would have been my first choice of word...

Isn't it, though? I've certainly never encountered anything of the sort, and I've seen more than most.

I, of course, must have been chosen for my sparkling intellect, but I get the impression that's not the case for some of the other.

[The Marquis nods, giving a little sweeping bow.]

Well, if you're the sparkling intellect I suppose that makes me the military grunt.

[The Marquis gives Sheppard a considering look. He'd last a week or so in the London Below, at a guess. Not bad at all, really.]

Although this would be better if you were psychic.

[The Marquis has absolutely no idea what Sheppard is talking about, but he nods and smiles anyway, as if sharing in the joke.]
