When you turn back, if you were talking to BEATRICE or LAVI, you're going to be staring into their eyes, but not directly. Their bodies are encased in thick ice. Touch it -- it's quite cold. They're not getting out of there anytime soon, and nobody could have survived the freeze, could they?
Isn't it strange, as well, that despite the temperature in the house, no water is pooling beneath the blocks? It doesn't seem to be melting...
