At the Factory

As the ship lands, gravity returns to the group in the brig. Daru enters after a moment, reactivating the force-field control. "All right, come on and follow me. Be quick about it."

He herds the group outside -- the environment is brown, dead, and surrounded by high, jagged mountains. The factory is built into of them, a squared, silver form jutting out from the red, jagged earth around it. There is a translucent yellow dome around the complex, extending into and around the mountain.

There is a click on the collars as they walk through the dome, signalling their momentary deactivation. "I would suggest following me," Daru says suddenly, "the critters out in the mountains will eat you alive if you try to escape. It has happened before."

The collars reactivate on the other side of the force field with another click. He leads them inside the complex. There are machines from floor to ceiling -- which, one might guess, was almost as high as Omega Supreme -- with humanoids of every shape, color and galaxy, it would seem. None of them look very happy, most of them quite apathetic. Very few turn their heads to acknowledge the newcomers.

Daru looks down at Wheelie and Cureall. "You two, stick with me. I have something else in mind for you when we're through here." He turns to Rodimus and Wheeljack. "I'm putting you two on dock loading. Ships dock in the facility, you load them up with things off the assmbly line." He turns and scans the room, nodding toward a Skuxxoid -- one who is not wearing a collar. "You, come here."

The alien scurries over, grinning. "Need somethin, boss?"

"Take these two down to the docking bay." He then looks down at Perceptor. "Put him on Assembly line three." He pauses, then looks back at the three. "They're in the same section of the factory, so you three will all sleep in the south quarters. Your coworkers will lead you there when your shift is over. Don't need to worry about being separated." He glances between Percy and Jack for a split moment, then turns back to the Skuxxoid and points to him. "He -- and the rest of his kind -- are in charge when I'm not here. Don't do what they say, they'll make your collar shock you, simple as that."

He then turns and strides out of the facility, using the collars to herd Wheelie and Cureall without so much as a warning. Back outside, he leads them along a path that ends with another silver building -- this one not surrounded by a field at all. He fiddles with the remote for a moment, and their collars snap in half and fall off almost immediatly.

"They're not of much use in here," he says simply. "As a reminder, I do still have your friends in them." He steps inside, motioning for them to follow. "Stay in the front room for a bit, feel free to sit down if you want, the chairs are comfortable. He motions toward a rather cushy-looking couch. "Basically, your duties will be keeping house and whatnot. Stay here for a little bit, I need to get things settled." The front door locks behind them electronically. He strides off to another room, leaving the two children by themselves for the moment.

((Rodimus, Wheeljack, Perceptor: feel free to NPC the skuxxoids and the other slaves. I gotta go to work in a bit, make up whatever regulations you want and I'll probably go along. Wheelie, Cureall, I'll be back to RP with you in a bit, talk amongst yourselves while I'm gone.))
