Yes, that's absolutely possible - you don't have to have a festival ticket to stay on the campsite, only a camping ticket. You can definitely get in and out during the week (though you might find it makes more sense to walk or get the festival bus, depending on your mobility - Sidmouth town centre gets pretty packed for parking during FolkWeek). There will more than likely be space left, especially if there's only one of you (and assuming you're not bringing a monstertent!) but if you've booked a camping ticket before you get there then that will have been allowed for anyway. And cars are always allowed on the campsite - I tend to leave mine there during the week, using it mostly as a cupboard :)
That's great, thanks. When I asked about getting in and out I just meant is it physically possible to get in once everyone else is already there, and out before everyone else leaves. From experience of Trowbridge, for example, once you're in you're blocked in and there's no way you're getting out until everyone leaves! I'll definitely take the bus to and from during the week.
