I did my clinical time in the ED and LOVED IT. I so want to work ED. Hurray.
I love how we care for anybody who walks in. I followed patients from age 9 to about 75. A geriatric problem (dizziness, discharged with meds and follow up appointments), a cardiac problem (sent upstairs for a permanent pacemaker), an infection (d/c with meds), a trauma (still there when I left), and two psychs (one panic attack and one suicidal alcoholic). This is great!
I felt proud to help out in any way I could and can hardly wait to do more.
Hmm, what would I need to make myself a really desirable hire?
