Twilight Saga: Eclipse Eve

Jun 28, 2010 22:26

You had to know it was coming. If you visit my blog with any regularity, you had to know my excitement about June 30, 2010 would spill onto this page. Yes, it's time for Twilight mania to be unleashed on the world. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie hits the big screen in just over 24-hours. If you could contain the excitement radiating off of me, you could use it to light all of Manhattan. Shucks you could light all of New England. If you hate the Twilight books, don't fret, I will not try and persuade you to change your mind. I will not say you are crazy. Nope. As a writer, I know the books are not well written. But the books are about a first love. First love lacks logic and reason. Plus, when New Moon was released, I said, YOU should have something in your life that makes you remember what it is like to be a kid: giddy, free, and without a care in the world. For some it's the World Cup. For others it's MAC cosmetics. If you don't have that thing, get it. Trust me, your life will be better for it.

What I do hope you love is this song from the Eclipse soundtrack: Heavy In Your Arms by Florence and the Machine. The words are true poetry. Brilliant. Exquisite. If you like it, show some love to the artist and BUY it from one of the usual outfitters. (It is really four minutes long)

And yes, I will be seeing the movie at 12:01 am June 30th at a drive in with two other fanatics. Then I will watch it again with my Twilighters (six 30 somethings) at 8:00 pm, June 30. You read correctly: the same move twice in one day. I think this lapse in sanity is allowed because June 30, 2010 is my last day at my job. SO bookending it with a movie I love . . . so much better than eating a cake. I know! I just said there is something better than cake. Oh my!

life, movie, twilight saga, music
