Out of curiosity, what purpose would speaking with the apparent 'scientists' do for the people here?

I never said that I did. I was asking what purpose other people have for talking to them. Why people talk to them in general.

I didn't expect someone to actually ask their reasons to talk with the members of the project, for that usually is too personal to talk about.
