I hate state schools..... UPDATED
*Update*So now my account is back to being cool. Apparently someone realized the weirdness of keeping the holds and the charges, so now it is off my account. Hopefully this is the end of it.

Okay so now I'm pissed off again. I got everything straightened out with the health center yesterday. They are billing my insurance finally and the health center director emailed accounting to tell them to remove my holds and the issue was being resolved. However, apparently having the director of the department that put the hold on your account to begin with telling them to remove the hold isn't enough.....
You should have received an email yesterday from Mary Anne Wilson at the student health center about removing the holds on my account for a $56 health center charge. We are currently in the process of billing my insurance company for that amount. I was curious as to when I can
expect those holds to be removed from my account.
Holds are listed as long as there is an amount due on the account. If you want the hold removed you will have to pay the $56.00 yourself and then just get reimbursed with your insurance. If you want to wait for the insurance to pay then the hold will be lifted after we receive
payment from them.
