So I'm back home at last, free from dorms beyond the average Singaporean's living ability, throngs of mosquitos and stagnant ponds, dead rats in bathrooms et cetera. I'M SURE YOU GET THE IDEA. We were horrified and checked into a hotel after 2 dreadful nights. At last count, I had 26 mosquito bites all over my body. This is such a great way of instilling patriotism. Just take a bunch of Singaporeans and throw them into shitty living conditions in a foreign land. Also, try being the lone Singaporean team in a M'sian tournament. I swear, the Singapore jokes stop being funny after a while.
That aside, the tournament was great. The motions were ridiculously outdated though, but that's okay. We made it all the way to the finals and got a cheapskate trophy, 300 ringgit and a hi-tea voucher for 4 at the Marriot. Not bad. We're heading up north again tomorrow night but this time, they're putting us up at the Federal Hotel KL. Mmm.

For some reason, I can't wait for my internship to start. It's a refreshing break from mundanity, though some tell me I'll be singing a different tune a few weeks into it.
