Not very good reasons. Then again, I've never been one to court practicality.

Did I keep you waiting?

Not really. [She's finishing shaving a branch of hard wood into the form of a wooden sword with her knife]

[Her hands are in her pockets.] There doesn't seem to be much to talk about, so come at me whenever you want.

[sheathes the knife and swings the sword for balance once.]

Sucks. Oh well.

[She comes in with a solid but careful, quick thrust]

[Mokou silently dodges narrowly to the side and moves in for a knee to the stomach, her hands still in her pockets.]

[Ryougi snaps the blade downward at Mokou as she evades and steps past the knee, whirling around with a slash as she passes, more as a defensive measure than an attack]

[Mokou ducks under the defensive slash, thens prings backward, putting about 8 feet of space between them. She waits.]

[This was getting her blood pumping. She was fun.]

[She wanted to kill her. She wouldn't let herself, but she wanted to kill her. Might not be able to, but she certainly wanted to.]

[She strafed with a few side steps in an odd rhythm as she slowly came the first few steps, then burst forward with a pair of quick, light downward slashes, giving a short battle cry to steel herself]

[Mokou dodged the first slash, and took the second one square in the shoulder. Barely flinching, she dropped low, aiming to sweep Shiki's legs out from under her.]

[She was forced to jump, which spawned stripped mobility for the moment of the low hop. Rather than press the attack, she prepared to block.]
