Somedays really suck. Somedays are really good. And somedays are kind of the both of those days mixed together. Today is one of those days.
See, I got up thinking that today was just another day of school, homework, and all that boringness that I never want to deal with. Then, I'm coming out of English, turn the corner and you know who is standing right there? STEVEN! (Steven being California-Steven that moved away and wasn't allowed to come back but is now here in Ohio-Steven.) He said he didn't tell me he was coming back because he wanted to surprise me. Ah, yes, I was a big puddle of gooey-Xan on the floor.
But, yes, there is a bad part to this story. My so-called friend has lunch with Steven and Shay, and even though Steven knows how I feel about him, this so-called friend went and told him all this stuff that I said, and stuff that I didn't. So now, he pretty much thinks I'm in love with him and that I'm crazy obsessed. Well, he doesn't think that 'cause he knows that all of what she isn't true but .... I can't believe she'd go behind my back and tell him all that. And some of it wasn't true, most of it was her telling him not to like me or even think about going out with me.
Eh, at least that's what Steven said and what Shay said.
And people wonder why don't trust them ...
But I guess today was a good day because ... He's back! And I am pathetic. ::shakes head::
All right, I have boring concert details from Friday that I never put on here. So here goes ....
We got there kind of early, but not much. (We had stopped at Pizza Hut before that to eat.) The Early November played first. Oh. My. God. I wanted to die. These guys are so fucking amazing. I know a lot of people don't like them but ... I can't help it. And they owned Friday night. My only compaint was they didn't play "Sunday Drive." I mean, when Sergio jumped into the crowd, he landed right on me. It was so fucking great. And, yes, sadly, I did touch his ass. It was an accident ... at first. I know, I'm horrible.
After they played for the rest of the night, Ace stood back by the merch booths. I talked to him for the longest time. I got my picture taken with him too. Score! Heh. It made me the happiest person ever. Yeah, he told me he loved me too. And yes, I'm extremely proud of all of this. Haha.
Hmm. Then, Senses Fail? I think that's who it was. I'm not that big of a fan of those guys but they put on a good show. I'm really digging their songs "One Eight Seven" and "Steven." And "One Eight Seven" is so fun live. I really didn't pay attention to them playing though, I was in the mosh for their whole set.
Next was Allister, I believe. Fun times. I love those guy. They are so fun live ... Sad thing is, nobody in Cincinnati knows what a circlepit is. It was sad. I think Scottie realized it wasn't going to happen. I met him again after they played. We talked for about 15 minutes during Homegrown's set while he took care of the merch booth. I don't think I've ever met a nicer guy at a concert. He goes out of his way to be nice. Got my picture taken with him, too.
Homegrown played next but I really didn't watch much of their set. Which I regret but I was talking to Scott and Ace. It's not like I couldn't see them anyways. And the did play some awesome songs. The opened with "Tomorrow" and I thought I was going to die, I love that song.
Then, the Starting Line played. They were so awesome. I went crowd surfing during the first couple of songs in their set and managed to get right up from for the rest of it. I was literally about 5 feet from Kenny. And I loved every moment of it. I really like their stuff from their new EP. Mostly "Classic Jazz." I was upset they didn't play "Check to Check" but I got over it when they played "Left Coast Envy." Met Tom before they played, got my picture with him, too. Um ... he signed my shoe, too. Eh. They were old and I wanted him to sign something other than my patch.
We stayed for TSL's encore but didn't stay to meet the rest of the band. Oh, well, I'm sure I'll get to some other time. I had way too much fun to let anything get me down. Even when I got kicked by Sergio, I loved it. ;)
