Prime Rib and a waiter named Ken

Jan 20, 2005 11:40

Oh boy. Last night was full of interesting and exciting events. Ellie and I had a dinner date and we decided to skip the usual Panera and go for Outback instead. Pretty much it was a good choice. True, I spent about twice as much as I would have at Panera, but Prime Rib just wins over bread bowls. Sorry Chester.

It was really funny, so we got there and sat down and out waiter came over. We were sitting at a table for four so the waiter asks "Is it just you two ladies tonight?" and we're like "yeah" and suddenly he drops on one knee by Ellie and turns on the super-male-waiter charm. "Hi, I'm Ken, I'll be taking care of you tonight...blah blah blah". Ellie and I looked at each other and we were trying not to laugh soooo hard! It was such a difference in personality, plus, his name was Ken. As soon as he left, we broke into obnoxious giggles and the people at the table next to us glared at us for the rest of the night. Maybe you had to be there, but it was hillarious. The rest of the meal was great, and we talked about musicals almost the entire time. I'm so sad she's leaving soon! What will I do without my Ellie fix? I guess we'll find out.

Anyway, after that, I finally made an appearance at broomball and watched Boer Bennink kick Beets Veenstra's butt! Christine and I (and Laura for a while) sat on the bleachers by ourselves (like literally, we were the only one's on the bleachers, except those other 3 people....) and made up the cheering section. We discovered that people can't hear you through the fake-glass barriers so we could basically shout whatever we wanted at the people. And we did. It was really hillarious. Tonight is the finals against SE. I'm excited.

Well, that's about it for today. I just realized that since our proff is giving us tomorrow off, I only have 2 days of Interim class left. Scary, eh? I think so. I'm not ready for the spring semester to start. Blah.

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNA!!!! She's the big 2-0 you know.....we're so old these days.

Also, sorry to hear about the untimley death of Bob Costas. He was always a hero of mine, and really the only reason I watched the Olympics. Stay strong Megan and Erika. Stay Strong.

Happy Ending.
