“Mmmmmmmm”

“Aaaahh, where am I?” Celeste sat up from where she was laying. The ground was hard and uncomfortable. She pushed herself into a sitting position, and took in her surroundings. Her head was throbbing and she felt very disoriented.

“This must be farther than we've ever been before,” she said remembering what the Queen had told her. She tried to remember how she had gotten to this place. Everything looked so different. There was a slight breeze in the air, and it was a bright sunny day.

Celeste continued to sit in that spot for some time. She could recall boarding the ship to leave her home planet. She could remember traveling for days. But she could not recall how she ended up here, on the ground, in the middle of nowhere.

As she examined her surroundings, she gave a sign of relief. So far this wasn't so bad. She couldn't believe the Queen had allowed the guards to drop her off in such a pleasant place. She had of course feared the worse. She had imagined several possibilities, but not this one.

“But where is everyone?”
She didn't think that they would just drop her off, without a single word. Maybe it was better this way. She couldn't help but feel she was missing something. Surely something was wrong. But it was alright with her. She had always been able to take care of herself. This would be no different.

So she explored. This planet was obviously very different from the one she had just left. She had seen many planets during her travels, some like this one.

“Oh no,” she said aloud, as one such memory came back.
Several years ago, she had visited a planet very much like this one. Her crew had shortly realized that this particular planet was not one to mess with. It was in its very early stages of development, with giant beast roaming the lands. They had left immediately, and had never returned to her knowledge.

“Oh please, not there!” She whispered to herself. Quickly she scouted the area around her. She felt a huge relief when she realized she was on a small island, right off shore of another bigger island. She could make out roadways, so surely this planet was beyond the dinosaur age.

The main island was quite a distance away, so she quickly gave up the idea of going over there anytime soon.

She took her time examining the trees and bushes for available food. She knew very soon she would need to find shelter.

Then, she spotted someone walking towards her. She stood very still. She hoped whoever it was, was not hostile. She was very sure, she was not up to fighting today.

“Good Morning,” called the papergirl.

Startled at this friendly greeting, she waved back, “Hello.”

She gazed at her with real interest. She was just a young girl, maybe in her teens. She seemed to be wearing some sort of uniform, and she was carrying a bag over her shoulders.

Untroubled by Celeste, the papergirl dropped her newspaper on the ground, and turned back to face her.

“I brought your newspaper,” she called. “Is......IS everything alright? Did you buy this plot of land?”

Not sure how to respond, Celeste simply nodded her head at the girl. Apparently she wasn't surprised to see her here. Her appearance did not startle her. She was a little taken back by this sudden encounter.

Sensing Celeste was in no mood to talk, the papergirl made to leave.

“Well have a nice afternoon. I'll be by every morning with your paper, if you need anything.”

“Huh,” Celeste mumbled aloud, as the papergirl continued on her way. That was certainly interesting. The girls appearance had confirmed one thing for Celeste, tho. People lived on this island, friendly people maybe. Things were starting to look up.

“Excellent, now I can find out where I am.”
Celeste picked up the newspaper and examined it. Just as she had thought all the vital information she needed was all there. She found that she was in a little town called Juniper Springs. Today was Monday. The WeatherMan announced fall was on its way. The Major was again accused of extra-marital activities. She read on, skimming over all the details, and taking in as much as she could.

She found the one section she knew she would need. Job Listings.

If this was anything like Home, she knew she would need some currency to help support herself. Her only worry was that people would start asking too many questions, or completely reject her for who she was.

“Well, there is only one way to find out.” She said to herself. She took the opening as a Security Guard, her first shift would begin the following morning at 7am. The ad said that they would send a driver to pick her up. How convenient.

For the rest of the day, she wandered her small little island. Finally when the sunset, she settled down to rest for night. She tried to imagine spending the rest of her life here. She was sure that here, time would move forward and she would age. She wasn't sure what to think of this. Time had always been something she never worried about. At Home, time moved differently. Years would pass, while no one aged. People only truly aged there if they wished to do so. Oh sure the children grew and became adults. But at that point in life, they could choose when to age farther. She knew she no longer possessed this power. Pondering these thoughts, she drifted off to sleep.

Authors Note:
So it begins. I've acutally already played quite a bit with Celeste, but I won't go into any details. She is a real trooper. I ended up having to clone her and a few others to a dummyhood, so I could take all the pictures I wanted. Its turned out to be so much easier than trying to do it at home on the main lot.
All CC, is most likely fund at MTS2, or various other places.
Thanks for reading! I appreciate it! :)
