home.
man, i always forget how little i have at home. all i have on the computer is firefox, the soundcard's fucked so i got no sound, and it's a laptop so i got no mouse. all i want to do is photoshop and listen to music. i have one album i can put on the stereo behind me, and it's The W, Censored.
I got no car, I got no bike.
i find that i spend my days getting drunk on the porch reading children's books, cause there's lots of alcohol, and lots of children's books.
Mojito's and Winnie the Pooh, Gin and Tonic with When We were Six, Rum and Coke with Abey's Big Fuckin Basket...
once i'm done reading, i come in and watch Chinatown some more.
So, it's really not a bad life at home, just very different.
oh yeah,
so me and wass are driving back a couple days ago, i go to Wonderland and ride the train home. So i get to state, take state to Downtown, and i'm waiting there for the train.
This one girl walks by, about 26 or so, i notice her, she keeps going. Ten minutes later, she walks back the other way, just wandering the track. I notice her, she keeps going. Third time around, she makes contact, sits next to me.
I'm sitting with a basket full of dirty laundry and a light saber.
A little boy (around 7) walks past us and checks her out. a Full On top-to-bottom check-out and he's smilin like "Yeaaaah, What Up." I lose it, and start laughing.
We wait for a while. My train's the Braintree split of the Red line, and the Ashmont train (always) comes first.
She gets on, i'm sitting. I'm thinking, hmm, maybe i should have gotten on with her. I can always get off at Andrew or JFK and switch over. Nah, i've got a basket full of dirty laundry. My bad.
So she gets on the train. The doors stay open for a couple minutes. She walks back.
"OOPS! What train is that?"
"Ashmont... I do it all the time."
"YAY!"
sits back down.
We start talking, shooting the shit. The train comes, we get on. I find out her name's Pheonix, and she lives in San Diego, and was just home for the night with her friends before she heads back. So we keep talking and both get off at North Quincy. She tells me her philosophy on the importance in networking with people in different areas, and staying in touch. I get her number (in SAN DIEGO), her friend shows up in a rush and we split.
So yeah, if you're ever in San Diego...
birthday's coming up, and i have no idea what's gonna go down. it really depends on who's where, and what's the best idea. it'd be nice to stay in Swampscott if there are people there, but if not i've considered going back up to Burlington. but that's kind of a pain in the ass. i don't know, either way i'm getting wasted, so i'm fine. just a heads up on anyone who didn't know what the deal was.
I'm thinking Rum and some Home-Brew Iced Coffee with Peter Pan. Just found a bottle of Pimms in the basement. mmm, Pimms and Lemonade... What goes well with Pimms and Lemonade?
Ice, she says, Ice goes well.
