Crossing the
Confederation Bridge, August 24, 2005, 11:05:47 PM. Roughly one hour before the food poisoning set in.
What's up possums!?
I was out in glorious
Moncton,
New Brunswick all last week to help out with a
store opening out that way. While the hours were crazy ass long (14 hours the first day, roughly 10 every day after that), I managed to have a bit of fun none the less.
Wednesday we went out to
Shediac for some beer and food at Captain Dan's where I had some delicious
Alpine Beer and even more delicious fried clams and steamed muscles. Two hours later though, the clams weren't nearly as delicious on their way back up :(
But hey, I got to puke in two different provinces (
Nova Scotia and
New Brunswick) all in one night. Had the food poisoning kicked in earlier I could have added
P.E.I. to that list as well.
That's right. 3 provinces. We went on a bit of a road trip that night that's for sure :) Too bad it was tainted by bad clams. But that's ok. We're hardcore :P
I was just fine the next day thankfully. Took the afternoon off to see the Bay of Fundy and the
Hopewell Rocks. Thankfully we got there just as the tide was coming in, so we could get down to the
sea floor and see what it looked like from below. Next time I'm going to make sure I'm there at low tide so I can wander around the beaches... it was absolutely gorgeous.
Worked my ass off Friday and Saturday for the rest of the time I was there. Saturday we went a drinkin' at
Doc Dylan's and
O2. O2 was a hell of a lot of fun and I didn't want to leave. The DJ spun an excellent mix of hip hop and house, keeping the dance floor packed solid. Unfortunately for us Winnipeg folk there, our flights were booked for 6am :(
All in all it was an excellent trip. I'm definitely going to visit the east coast again in the summer time. All y'all that live out there are lucky to live in a place that gorgeous!
