Book Review #126

Haven't done any book reviews in a while.

Daughter of Darkness by V.C. Andrews

If you're wondering if i am ashamed of having read this book... then yes. Yes i am.

This book is EXACTLY what you would expect a vampire book written by V.C.'s ghost writer.

We have young girls questioning their life, which is oh. so. mysterious. Lorelei is a girl with questions but no answers.

All she knows is her father is a vampire, and it's the duty of his daughters to bring him virile young men pumped full of desire for them to him once a month so he can drain them dry. She also knows that she has older sisters, and as each one gets older and moves out of the house, a younger daughter is adopted and brought into the house to be raised i the same manner.

Trained in seduction, she has one purpose. But she yearns for more. She has been warned to never fall in love, but she finds a young man she likes and they are drawn together.

Oh no. Can't have that. They are torn apart and Lorelei's older sister hatches a plan that will fix the whole situation.

This is terrible fiction. I only read it because my MIL loaned it to me. I don't think i'll be tempted to read any of the following novels, either. Yuck.

I am not even sure it would deserve 1 star.

Why is this person still writing novels?
