And be merry

The weather is weird today…it’s like, sort of cold yet humid. Read: frizzy hair, and then I wore a fleece jacket on my walk to work and ended up sweating. (these days, I am *always* sweating…oh aging, you are so much fun.)

I'm gonna talk about eating and diet/fitness (or more accurately, lack of). Please don't read the rest if that's offensive and/or annoying.

Today is my “Friday” because I have tomorrow off, I am so excited. I want to go to Britney’s café for breakfast, I lose my mind and I order this breakfast that has everything on the menu…pancakes, bacon & eggs, hash browns and toast. Usually after I finish the waitress is astonished as to how *much* I have polished off. My appetite is out of control; always has been.

I got a jawbone UP3 for Christmas, I like it better than a fitbit b/c it is somewhat decorative. Figured I walk so much I might as well track it…I’m doing decent w/my steps, it’s like averaging 9k per day. I work out every night after work, too…okay I won’t lie, it’s like 15-20 mins of pilates or something (all that walking! LOL)

Jeff has been trying to be healthier…he doesn’t work out but his arms are still in shape from lifting weights in his early 20s (can we say “unfair” like I did a shitload of sit-ups in my twenties but do I have a six-pack, hell, NO!!) our friends told him about this calorie-counting app called Lose It so he’s been doing that. I downloaded it too, I let him be a good influence on me…

Sort of. Sometimes I’ll enter burger, fries, iced latte, three glasses of wine, cookie (that’s lunch) and then there’s dinner. So my little calorie tracker for the day will shoot thru the roof in red.

When I don’t have things like apps (damn you to hell, technology)I can convince myself that all that exercise is counterbalancing it, but no. I’d need to do like three extra hours of cardio *per day* to make up for it. I guess at least they make me think about it…who the hell wants to think about that?

jawbone, food, lose it, exercise, fitness
