doing a deep-sea mask

just sat out in the sun for an hour, even though it's not very warm. i'm sooo pale!

even though at this age i should be more conscious of my skin. people ask if i wear sunscreen, i lie & say yes (well my facial moisturizer has SPF15 so that's a no-brainer.) last year i got horribly burnt on the decolletage, though, so i will be more careful going forward.

7 year old niece's first communion today. i had this solid skin tint from lush but who am i kidding, i got up an hour & a half before we had to leave & anyone who knows me knows that complicated skin rituals that require more than flat-ironed hair, moisturizer, eye cream, eyeliner, shadow, mascara & blush plus a dress & high heels are too much to ask for. said dress was long, due to the paleness of said skin. my sister-in-law & i had on the same white short-sleeved crocheted bolero. my brother-in-law bought me a blue mermaid drink. it was really blue but they put it in a non-see-thru-tiki-looking glass so it lost that effect.

my niece was in a white tulle long dress w/a flower wreath & looked adorably princess-ful. she had a little white purse & little white shoes. she asked where alex was, i said working, do you wnat me to yell at him for you? she said YA! she had a plastic nose in her elegant purse that shot plastic boogers when you squeeze it. princesses are cooler when they have a bit of an edge.
