It's 10:06 am, and I experiencing the sweet relief that rewards getting stuff done which I've been meaning to do for awhile now. So far today, I've accomplished the following:
- Made appointment with doctor to check out the chronic pain in one knuckle on my left hand; I suspect I might have a broken bone in my hand! Naturally I've been putting off this visit for months since it doesn't hurt very often.
- Made appointment to take the Math placement exam at the community college on Thursday evening; this is the last hoop to jump through before I can register for Fall classes.
- Requested my Paralegal class transcripts from Kennesaw to go to the new school out here
- Finally signed up for the Roth 401(k) at work (doing 5%). The only thing holding me up since late May was writing down the address of my contingent beneficiaries. That's it. Gee whiz. Better late than later, however!
All of this is of tremendous relief to me to just get this shit done! Now I can start looking forward to Fall classes. I am tempted to "ease back into school" by taking only one class -- but I really feel like I should take two, one academic and one paralegal. We'll see. I may get Legal Ethics out of the way, and I have to take that one in person. If it were two online classes, that'd be easier. I may let myself slide with just one class if it's in person, though. We'll see.
Oh, and kudos to me! I needed my Kennesaw student ID to request my transcripts. I stared in horror at that item on the form for a moment, wondering how much of a pain in the neck it would be to retrieve that information, or turn in the form without it. Apparently, it was all of 1 step, which was to look under K in my Outlook contacts, and there it is! I love me sometimes. Life is so much easier to tackle when you're organized! (And humble as well, apparently!) (SOME PIG!)
