Fingerprints!
Exciting! I've got an appointment to go get fingerprinted tomorrow morning for the background check in preparation for my legal name change. Hooray! Can't wait to make this official.
Speaking of which, I had to laugh -- I opened my Sam's Club account when I was in my first marriage. Sam's refused to change the account from my hyphenated married name to my maiden name without a copy of my divorce decree. This was a pain in the neck, so I never sent it, and consequently, the name on the account never changed. Upon my remarriage, however, they required ZERO proof of name change, and were only to happen to change it over the phone... so, wouldn't change from hyphenated married name which includes my maiden name in it, but they'll happily change it to some random totally different name which by coincidence I have no legal right to at present. Gotcha. Thanks, Sam's!
