DOLPHINS IN SPACE
Ian and I have just gotten into an argument about dolphins in space. Why do new age crystal hippie freaks take such obsession with dolphins and whales in space? Do a Google search on this and your eyes will bug out.
Ian contends that their reason is the same as mine for drawing a parallel between the Galactica and a submarine. I insist that spaceships are run either like airplanes or submarines. Galactica is run like a submarine. Therefore the plots there will follow entirely different rules. (Witness the recent episode where the Chief and Kelli have to take one for the team by being sealed in a compartment with a leak.) Ian thinks I'm as crazy as the crystal hippies with their pretty glitter covered dolphins in space.
