Diminishing Marginal Utility

The recognition of eating the last tortilla chip in no way casts aspirsions on the tortilla chip itself, or signals never eating them again. It is just the satisfied end of a meal. Tortilla chips will be eaten again!

In fancier talk, this is also referred to in economics as Diminishing Marginal Utility, the concept that you really only eat so many tortilla chips in one setting, ya know?

But of course I'll be back in April!

I've been using that phrase way too much in my normal life. Recently, it was used to explain why one can only eat so many Thin Mints at a time.

Ooooh, serendipity! Thin Mints, tortilla chips, or fundamentals of economics. True enough real world examples, however!

By the way, been so consumed with my own tortilla chip challenges that I have yet to congratulate you on your choice about Suriname. I think this is going to be the adventure of a lifetime.
