IS this Monday? You know, I couldn't tell...
I think Monday's out to get everyone today.
- First there's me. Of course, one could argue that this was my own stupid fault, but still... I made a cake yesterday to bring in for a girl's birthday at work. I got to the parking garage and realized I'd left the cake at home. It wouldn't have been a problem if I wasn't scheduled to travel Tuesday and Wednesday, thereby making me unable to bring the cake in on Tuesday, her actual birthday. So, what did I do, you ask? I went home to fetch it, of course! Incidentally, it took the same amount of time to drive up and back to the office as it did to get in originally. Silly traffic patterns.
- Another girl here at the office had her power go out at 6:30 this morning, throwing her into one of those blank-minded so-what-do-I-do-now trances.
- The lady I carpool with usually is home sick.
- The attorney assigning binders to a great deal of us managed to fudge up binder assignments complete with uncooperative file opening (the chart she keeps track of these things on wouldn't open because of a network problem). Meanwhile, she'd already forgotten about/missed a 9:00 meeting.
This is just a throw-back to all the Garfield comic strips I read as a kid. No wonder he was constantly trying to sleep through Mondays!
At least no one's been injured....knock on wood....
