Let's begin with the most important/sobering news:
- My friend Jason, who was recently down in Louisiana with his Guard unit, just found out he'll be leaving for Iraq on the 20th of this month. He's definitely worried/anxious as he'll be doing transport work. So, if you can, put him on your prayer list. We've got plans to keep him well-stocked with mail and care packages of cookies and such, but it was certainly an emotional few minutes after church when he shared the news.
Onward:
This weekend was a blast overall. The European facial was to die for, and here are some other pictures (with the occasional caption) from all the festivities.
My melted ice cream/birthday cake.
My favorite picture of the chapel and foilage at Camp Wo-Me-To.
My mom and I were driving over to the spa for our facials (which were to die for, did I mention?), and I was bad and took pictures from the car.
This one has a hawk or possibly a scavenger sort of bird soaring above the trees. Can you find it? Yes, I'm sure you can.
And I just like this shot for some reason:
Sunday lunch at the Olive Garden. Aren't my little cousin's so cute?! I want to scan in what Dylan and Seth each gave, but didn't have time yesterday, so hopefully I'll post those pictures tomorrow. It was too cute, though.
On the drive home, I was bad again and took more pictures. The sky looks awesome, though. How could I pass up the opportunity?!
I like these, too:
And in old news:
Here is the picture of my finger. Skip it if you have a weak stomach (but really, it's not so bad in this one. It looks so much better in this picture that it did at first.)
And here are some pictures from when smor and whereismysam came to visit right before Halloween:
And finally, just to put myself out there a bit, here is the one origami ornament I made this past week. (I've made more, but they're unfinished and un-photographed as of yet).
And I made these for Louise:
THE END!!!
Happy Monday, all!
Oh, and I completely forgot: THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SENT ME BIRTHDAY WISHES and TO THOSE WHO PROBABLY MEANT TO DO SO! I usually fall in the second category...he he...
