Last night I went to have my hair cut....drastically.
This is before (ugh...that looks bad):
(I'm the blonde if you didn't know.)
This is the picture I took with me:
This is after (considering the humidity today, the curl insisted on showing up, which was fine with me):
I also have the one side pulled up for while I'm at work.
I REALLY like it, and so did everyone at Bible study last night when I walked in 10 minutes late straight from the salon....woops.... All the ladies were in good shock, and my mom insisted on walking around my head and exclaiming, "I love it! Now I can go get mine cut short!" (I voiced my disagreeance with this idea.) My dad had to stop 'teaching' (all focus had already been lost) and commented, "This is big for Tracey. She's never had her hair short," which is only a partial truth as I've had it up to my shoulders twice before, but anyway... I love my parents. :)
The real victory was this morning though. I'd attempted to get it somewhat straight, but with the rain and all the house windows open, I gave it up for lost and just stuck some gel into it to keep it mostly smooth whilst being curly/wavy.
Oh, yeah, but the victory was walking into the office building toward the elevator to see Joe F. walking off. He smiled (as did I) and said 'Hi' as I ran for the elevator (we know how those can be...silly elevator A.D.D.). I caught him glancing my way as the doors closed. *satisfied grin*
So, it's Friday, and tonight I'm probably going to dinner with Michele, her friends and their son, and Louise and then heading to the movies to see Wallace and Gromit. Tomorrow's DC and McCartney. I read
carondelet11 's Macca post yesterday and was literally in tears from the swarm of emotions that assailed me. I hope Michele's able to handle me Saturday night. ;) Then the MD Ren Fest is on Sunday. Maybe I'll pick up a guy (or Joe F. will mysteriously appear) since it's Romance Weekend. Ha! Yeah right...
Happy Friday!!!
