Now that I've finally got a free minute...
Work has picked up pace spectacularly (we got an official overtime email and all). Since I set foot on the 15th floor this morning at 8:18 am precisely, I have been in motion. It's now 11:39 am, and not counting two short restroom visits, the stream of work has not let up for 3 hours and 21 minutes straight. I should be hearing back from possibly two attorneys any minute now...
In other news, my brother set out for Alabama a little before noon yesterday. I'm assuming that all's well since my mom hasn't led me to believe any crisis has occurred other than her 'mopiness' as she likes to call it. Poor mommy...
Also, I slept in my underwear for the second straight night due to lack of A/C. I've feared to look at the thermostat to see what the actual temperature in the house is, but I assure you that despite my cleaning of the fridge and freezer (in front of which it's significantly colder) and an ice cold shower in the dark of the evening, no sheet was necessary to keep warm last night. The A/C people should be at the house by now to try to solve this little dilemna.
And now, work beckons. I do hope you're all having a lovely 'Hump Day!'
Edit @ 3:30pm: I just let out a HUGE sigh of relief. I have a band to play the August coffeehouse. Wow...still thanking the Lord for that one!
