Not My Dress - Week 26
Ok, for the purposes of this feature, please consider only the dress actually shown in the picture, not the other possible color on color choices. Now, also, please tell me, for those of you who don't mind a little 'color' on a white wedding gown, that this is just WRONG: One-piece, satin, strapless, corset back gown. The drama of this style is created through the use of contrasting satin accented with rich embroidery, decorating the inverted pleats on the full A-line skirt. The embroidery also ornaments the neckline and train.
Reasons this is Not My Dress
- The design of the embroidery makes me think, for some strange reason, of the Queen of Hearts.
- It also looks like it should be paper, but not wall paper. Just some strange kind of stationary or scrapbooking paper, and that is all.
- I want to blow her skirt up...as in...the style makes me think of one of those huge bouncy balloons that you could punch around. They always started up with pleats in them before you actually filled them with air. I would know; as a kid I had a balloon obsession (even to the point where I taught myself to make balloon animals).
Now I really MUST get back to work.
