Many victories over the weekend. Let's go down the list, shall we?
1) Friday - Coffeehouse. Decent crowd. Met some new folks who were quite fun and entertaining. Listened to some Chuck Berry. Performed a few McCartney tunes in light of the Friday morning ticket acquiring.
2) Saturday - Tennis canceled due to rain but replaced with plant shopping! Walked out of a nursery near my parents' with roughly $150 worth of plants and two free yellow mums.
3) Saturday - Made a 'dry-run' down to the city with the woman from my church that I'll be carpooling with this weekend. Discovered the very short amount of time it would take to get from her house to her work at John Hopkins and the even shorter time from there to my building. (Oh, and she made me this scrumptious egg salad sandwich for lunch.)
4) Saturday - Mowed the lawn. Trimmed. Started planting all those plants I had purchased earlier. Did some dishes, did some laundry. Took a relaxing bath with candles and The Raspberries in the background. Went grocery shopping and saved about $15 in coupons. Oh, and I also made creamed spinach which I'm eating the last of now.
5) Sunday - Church - always good.
6) Sunday - Dad came over to move the baby Japanese red maple out of the front garden where it had sprung up. It's now in the back yard. He also tilled my soon-to-be vegi garden for me and salvaged a lot of mulch. I continued planting. We enjoyed lunch and he told me all about the Satyr he and my mom went to the day before at the house of Messianic Jew. Very cool.
7) Sunday - Went to my aunt and uncle's with my parents to have dinner, discuss issues about my grandfather (won't bore you with those), and talk about plans for our trip out to Colorado for my brother's graduation from the Air Force Academy.
8) Made it home and was in bed by 10pm. Had very interesting dreams in which my house was its own island (with no actual land underneath) and where I 'was' Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop who was suffering from severe fatigue and yet managed to triumph over some 'bad guy' that entered my bedroom through a poster on the wall.
So, here I am at work. Still buzzed from the double cappuccino Ms Deb the carpool lady made me. Yummmm....
