Counting Crows said it right. A long december and there's reason to believe maybe next year will be better than the last. This year was a mixture of important celebrations and crushing losses. I have decided to take a vacation from it all. I am taking a holiday from life. I should say that I will delve into my work and see my closest friends and reach out to some that I should have seen a long time ago, but other than that, I give up. So much energy was spent, so much time and effort. I don't have anything left to give. So, I mend. Thus begins the process. Now it is about me, only me, and surprisingly I have a smile on my face. I hope that everyone gets to spend time with their loved ones during their various holidays.
