I meant to post, months/years ago?, the before and after pictures of the work I did under the deck stairs and in our back yard - landscaping work.
Before:
After:
Under the deck stairs was dirt and weeds. I kept having to kill the weeds. We have one hosta, but nothing else that I planted there lived (other hostas - hosta la vista to them? :D ).
I installed the checkerboard pavers from the patio to the 'patio'/cement pad that is outside our basement double doors (meant for golf cart in future, or mower). Since we utilize the community pool moreso than a blow up, and it's less (no) upkeep, we ditched the pool this year and moved the sandbox to an area where the sand is more likely to dry out after a rain shower/storm. Before, it was on the patio, which is covered by the deck, and therefore in perpetual shade.
I also removed the grass by the back wall and added garden soil that I treated for blue hydrangeas and added edging and solite mulch (same mulch we have in the rest of our yard). I mulched the area under the deck stairs, too. There is weed mat under all mulched areas.
Tonight, I'm planting the hydrangeas, finally.
I'm off before I lose sunlight.
