Oh. Merlin.

Yesterday was my surprise party - it was so much fun! Except, I can't remember much of what happened (apparently a lot.) I stayed over at Lavender's house for the night and we gossiped and such, and looked at the pictures we took during the party. Lavender was a really big help with my uh, "boy problem."

I left Lavender's early this ( Read more... )

I do wish you'd stayed longer. I was a bit worried when I woke up and there was only a note to prove you'd been there the night before. At least the house elves took care of the mess.

I wish I could have stayed longer as well. But I really didn't feel good, and I didn't think it would be polite to puke out all the alcohol in my system get sick in someone else's house. Maybe some other time you can sleep over here, yeah? My door is always open.

And thanks again for our talk last night.

You have no idea how many people have thrown up in this house already. All I would have done was hold your hair back. But, nevermind. I'm really glad we had the chance to talk. I mean, I had my suspicions about everything--wonderful, smirk-inducing suspicions--but it was nice to have them confirmed.

How about this: I promise next time you throw a wild party and I am given the choice to either get sick at home or at your house, I will definitely throw up at your house. How's that?

It took you about an hour to have the smirk wiped off your face, Lavender. You were like the cheshire cat.

Sounds good, if you must put it that way. And I know you do.

Give me a break. Scandal! Secrets! Rivals of love! A shocking confrontation as two knights boys fight for the hand of the sassy maiden! I live for drama.

Sassy maiden, eh? I do like the sound of that...

I was going to say damsel-in-distress, but you are anything but.

I do have to agree with you there. Damsels-in-distress always did bother me; why do you need someone to save you from the evil stepmother? Kick her arse yourself!

I've tried to rationalize it for years and so far I've come up with the theory that if they had, in fact, done their stepmother in, then they'd spend the rest of their lives on the lamb. Or something like that. I mean, unless she was acting helpless so the Prince would prove his love to her, I truly don't understand.

That does sound like a semi-believable excuse. But how come the inability to hold your own is even attractive to guys? I don't see the logic.

It probably appeals to their male pride. You know, the "big strong" men getting to wrap us "tiny delicate" women in their "big strong" arms. "Big" and "strong" are words that many men and boys like to hear in reference to them.

If the "men" were men at all, they would realize they don't need to be "big" and "strong" to attract women.

...It is a plus, though.

Especially if they're, ah, big and strong in the right places.

Oh, yes, definitely. I have no problem with that at all. On the contrary, I encourage it.
