I just got back from the movies. We went and saw "I heart Huckabees". I was very impressed. The movie has a very good cast. Dustin Hoffman, Naomi Watts, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Schwartzman. Super super weird movie. In a sense the movie was exhausting to watch, but in a good "makes you think" kinda way. I found myself bursting out laughing multiple times, and being the only person laughing in the theatre. I think it's one of those movies that you either really love or really hate. Sometimes those kind of movies are the best ones.
Despite the fact that I got a $500 house party ticket on friday, and closed at Mongo on Saturday...I would have to say that I had a pretty sweet weekend.
Thurs, after torturing myself the entire day about whether or not I should go to the Incubus concert, and contemplating buying one of my friends a ticket to go with me, I ended up going by myself. You know you are a hardcore fan when you just CANT miss a concert even if none of your friends want to go/are too cheap to go. (Until after the concert when about 6 people told me they wouldve gone with me. You jerks are all talk. :-P) I was pretty pumped to go by myself actually but then I ran into Matt and Menage and Sat with them. It was very strange trying to explain to them why I was there alone. Anyways, Im really glad I went because it was one of the best concerts Ive been to. I was sort of disappointed that they didnt play Agoraphobia, Smile Lines, Warning, or Pardon Me. I guess they have too many good songs to play every good one. Brandon is my husband :-). Afterwards I went to Park lane to hang out with Don and Justin. We spent the night drinking random leftover beers and spreading Tide and Highlighter on a glass table....ha.
I dont even know who was here on Friday. All I know is that I couldnt walk through my living room. Normally I would be super pissed about having to pay $200 but I dont really care too much, it's just money I guess.
I woke up Sat at 8:30am to go party at the boy's house. It was odd to get there at 9am and have about 30 people there. You would've thought it was a night time party. The highlight of my morning was when I saved the day first when I drove to my house to get the leftover keg and 5 min later when I drove to buy more cups. It kinda felt like Sat was 3 days in one. My keyboard likes to blow balls right now so I am not in the mood to get in detail.... maybe later
