Nothing like clinical depression to get me writing more.
Current treatments:
- Bupropion SR 150 MG 1/pd (serotonin enhancer. Also supposed to help me cut out the second "prescription" below)
- Clonazepam 15(?) MG 2/pd (actually a half one during the day, tends to make me bump into things, awesome for sleep though)
- Nicotine, appx. 1.5 mg, 5-7/pd (this mostly seems to help me want more nicotine--the best way to quit is not to start, kids!)
Prognosis: mood improvement overall, more restful sleep, even my digestion is better (which tends to support the idea that the main factor has been stress all along). Also, I'd been worried about not being able to cry. Well, that doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. Meditation last night, even though most of it was images of videogames (I'd stayed up late playing Saturday--Kubuntu comes with Under a Steel Sky), probably also helped.
I have another doctor's appointment next week, as for some reason the non-regular M.D. I saw wants me to stay in touch with the primary.
Right now my plan is to figure out what retreats I can go to, go frequently, and also to get myself into the 10-day Nonviolent Communication training in Vancouver in November.
