"Letting it go," "how much grammar actually matters," "not being a bitch." Not that I'm the queen of tact, but I'm hardly the person in the community who most needs to take a few lessons.

I think 98% of us could use a lesson in that, but a lot of that is internetissues. You never quite know how someone is intending to come across.

I would agree with the last part of your sentence. Grammar DOES matter.

Tact is fucking overrated.

There's a difference between valuing grammar and using it as leverage in internet arguments (about subjects unrelated to grammar). I've seen obfuscate do that a few times and it's always seemed tasteless and self-aggrandizing.
