my friend Olivia is taking off to Texas on us again at the end of this month. It's like, every 2 years she attempts to move back out there and restart her life but within 3-4 months, she's back in town.
I'm happy that she's going again, because she's super excited but omg STOP DOING THAT.

A lot of people don't like me right now because I'm artistically inclined, but don't agree that turning a decrepit old abandoned building into a 9 million dollar gallery is a good investment.

Spending it on a drug treatment centre, or research into wtf this air we breathe is doing to us, or even something to draw in tourist money...but I don't think that an art gallery will do it.

But that apparently makes me part of the "Unwashed masses" (seriously, get off your high horse - NOW) who doesn't realize how important art is.

Honestly, the group of people who are gung ho about this aren't really people I care for that much, anyways. One of them downright pisses me off (when I talked to her the day after my sis died, and told her, her response was "you know what really sucks? they gave me the wrong sandwich at this restaurant". Wut?) and honestly if they can't see both sides of the issue, then I don't really want their friendship.

Plus I was just reading through the list of people who signed the petition and holy poop, there's a good deal of them who probably don't want a treatment centre here because it would give them one less excuse to keep using.

i'd go for a lower-budget gallery and put a portion of the proceeds from it to the other project(s)
