Since I finally have found myself some quiet time at the office, im going to update!! Bryan and I went to our first official UNCW Alumni event! It was at the Ale House, our favorite joint. They had free food and all the uncw stickers, buttons, t-shirts, etc any alum could ever want! Most of the people there graduated in the last 10 years, and most were finance majors. Everyone agreed that if they could take their job and put it in Wilmington, they would. They also agreed that they don't miss the traffic. Next up is a Durham Bulls game! I highly recommend getting involved with the group!!
I started class at State this week. I should have last week, but with work being so hectic I had the wrong day and missed class. I actually had to call up the teacher and ask to be back in the class. how embarrassing. It's a COM and PR class that I'm taking for "professional development". It looks pretty easy, but I think once we start learning more about the fundamentals of a press release, it will be really helpful. They teacher seems pretty cool too. It also made me really want to get a master's degree, but not in pr.
Speaking of being in college, I went out with Caroline and her Dookie friends on Sat night in Chapel Hill. Definitely different crowd than my college, but it was still really fun. I want to hang out with them again. (although in much warmer weather!!) I was shocked to learn Chapel Hill has cheap beer. Then again, I'm not so sure it was actually beer! She just got her first car, a standard, and is pretty good at driving it for just learning how.
Speaking of which, I learned how to drive my brother's stick-shift on Monday!!
The new Cinnamon Dolce Latte at Starbucks is delish.
