So, the other day it was offhand mentioned that
faery_007 was looking at going to Costa Rica to save baby turtles.
I thought it sounded amazing, so I starting looking into the viability of going with.
Now, that dream is starting to be a reality. Reservations have been booked for August 6-20th, plane tickets are soon going to be purchased (cheaply, too!), and I've started a list of things I need to buy.
Everything's starting to fall into place
I've been needing a vacation for a while now and what better way to get away than to truly get away. An hour from civilization, no electricity, no phone, just me and nature. Yes, I will somehow survive.
Thankfully,
faery_007 is more than capable of handling travel in foreign countries, and I'm adventurous enough to risk big spiders, poisonous snakes, and (more deadly to me), the sun.
I will sadly be missing my friends, the internet, and at least one session of LARP. Still, this is a chance of a lifetime to do something that not only helps out cute little turtles, but will get me out of my shell and into the real world.
