I think this is an unfortunate juxtaposition of news story and sidebar advertisement (for the Smith family).
To make matters worse, She started editorialising about the story, and about how the young whore in question had her income confiscated. She said "I don't know why they took her money, she's done all the hard yards". And hard inches, etc, I presume.
