(1) Verizon Wireless. (1a) I'm generally happy with the provider, now that i've changed my plan. I signed up a year and a bit ago for an all east coast plan with limited minutes, and now that my cell is my primary daytime phone, my bill was ridiculous. SO i switched plans for 300 daytime minutes and 4000 nights and weekends, which is more than enough for me.

(3)I've been covered anywhere i've been. I can call from anywhere on the east coast and it's like a home call. I have no roaming charges unless i'm west of ohio or south of VA.
(4) I have a kyocera that i love, but it's been discontinued. I got my phone for $30. For casual use, i wouldn't pay more than $50 as an incentive with service.
(5)no. i'm on buzz than a normal ring. (5a) ideal ring... buzzing and something unubtrusive. Least? anything else.
Hope this helps, T&S!
OH, and Karen and Robert used Sprint and said that the coverage in the area sucked royally. I know Beth and Lee use Nextel. May want to do some investigating with them as well. They may love that service. :-)
