A dragon will sleep at her feet

This is the line of prophecy I have for the Schmetterling's future: a dragon will sleep at her feet.

Isn't prophecy wonderful? It can mean so many things, all at once. For comparison, the line of prophecy for my life was "she will follow the sun". Whether that meant I moved north or east, travelled the globe, studied Druidry, hated cold weather, learnt to manage depression by watching the sunrise or just loved mornings and cried at sunsets isn't clear. It probably doesn't have to be. They're all true. My life is very solar-oriented, right down to my daily and yearly chemical and hormonal cycles. If you had to pick one thing that would mark my life, would that be it? I don't know. Possibly.

And here is my beloved Schmetterling, with a dragon at her feet. Is it the coils of her sexuality? the spirit of the land or symbol of some ancient power? will she have mastery of it, or does it simply slumber and await awakening? There's a sense of authority, but is it at her command or does she ride the tiger? It's not said, and I very possibly won't know. I say that because I get the impression that all this happens when I am out of the picture - either passed on, or simply far away in another land. It will be her problem to manage, to learn, to survive with and embrace - the mark of her adulthood, a defining element.

-shrug- Guess we'll see.
