There are only so many places that the intruders can use if they wish to reach the cargo bay. The engine room is one of them, but there are routes through the lower cabins and the kitchen. I would assume these men are aware of the layout of the ship and would follow the nearest possible routes to the fear gas.

... the darts I bought were relatively useful. I will be staying in my quarters, however, I can try to point out where the men may be. A group of them are heading down the staff quarters' corridor and is headed towards the helm.
[OOC: Near is a little useless in fighting big scruffy men, so he'll leave it to the other more macho men on the ship to kick their butts. He also happens to be under his table right now, to give the impression that the room is empty from the outsider's point of view. Does anyone happen to have a layout of the ship? Like a real one?
