working = not exciting

Neil's wedding was sweet (Patrick says Neil started to cry the moment he saw Marie at the back of the church) and we did not bring up any singing. Although Patrick was super loud next to me, "because I wasn't miked." Near the end of the reception we got ushered outside for "sparklers". I know what you are picturing. That is not what happened. We got serious sparklers: the diameter of a Sharpie and 2 feet long. Immediately I noticed the wind (and the fact that I had a full skirt on) and I was wondering if this was a good idea, but then people lit the sparklers and then moved very quickly, because they had crowded us together and these were SERIOUS. Eventually we ended up far away from everyone, backs to the wind so we wouldn't catch on fire. When most of the sparklers were finished, we heard this thump, and lo and behold, across the street there were REAL fireworks, a professional display, that Neil and Marie got together without anyone knowing. Apparently at their first date, when they first kissed, there were actual fireworks. So that was very cute and unique. And on the drive home I graded tests and tried not to pass out in the un-air-conditioned car. Sorry Brigitte we didn't scare any farmers!

This week I've actually gotten some work done that I was supposed to do for school, rewriting syllabi and such. And I almost just erased a whole document but due to my slacker job saving, I got it back. I've been using one syllabus for a template, and I forgot to change the file name after writing over it, but because I hadn't saved it yet I could undo all the typing and get it back. That would have been sad.

Also I'm on Facebook now if you want to find me there. I guess that only applies to people that know me in real life since anyone else doesn't know my name. But. FYI.
