So in the absence of House and The Office (known as the two TV shows I watch, dare I say it, religiously), I watch Law and Order. Law and Order is divided into two: SVU (not Sweet Valley University; high five, nineties tweens!) and Criminal Intent. For some strange reason I like SVU better. I get muddled with the characters at Criminal Intent.
I do watch CI though, and I've just recently seen the new ones with Jeff Goldblum. The whole time I was thinking, is it just me or is his character emanating House? I was thinking of blogging about it, but then that would expose to the world (of my 12 LJ friends) that I don't have a life. The next day, when news that Jeff Goldblum has died, I felt weird - but apparently it was a rumor.
Anyway, the last CI episode (The Glory That Was) had this interesting sequence that got into me, sort of.
Zach Nichols: I just want to say I'm real sorry about your, about your fiancé.
Megan Wheeler: Appreciate it.
Zach Nichols: You know my mom has, uh, an expression.
Megan Wheeler: (laughing) This oughta be good, hit me.
Zach Nichols: Um, rejection is God's protection.
Megan Wheeler: Pithy.
Zach Nichols: Or prescient, maybe. What do I know?
Ouch. I hope it's prescient. On my part anyway.
