Another exciting thrilling weekend from the Momo Diaries...
I crashed out early on Friday night since I had gone out Thursday night and painted the town red. It felt so good to drink a glass of wine and fall asleep with Mo around 8:30pm.
Saturday it rained AGAIN for like the 5th day in a row. Luckily the sun broke through and we had sun the rest of the weekend. We took a family trip to the playground and splashed in some puddles. Saturday night I had a one-woman rave in our office and BLIP.FM. The cherry-limeade margaritas helped set the mood.
Sunday we had multiple playground outings. First Merrick took Mo outside while I "napped" in. Then he cooked breakfast for us and then I took Mo to the other playground until it was nap time. Then after some errands, Merrick came home and we went to Humboldt Park. Tons of people out enjoying the weather. Lots of "cruising" going on near the park too, like an impromptu car show. We found one of those "waterplay" fountains in one of the gardens and let Mo splash around in it. After he was soaked to the bone we dried him off and changed him into some dry clothes (smart mama!) and headed back home.
If the weather is good again next weekend, I think we should go for a picnic in one of the forest preserves.
